Spencer Trappist Ale - FIRST American Trappist Brewery

image I know what you’re saying already but stay tuned on the “trappist” moniker.  Apparently Chimay, Oval, Rochefort, Achel, Westmalle, Westvleteren, Koningshoeven & Stift Engelzell now have some company only this one is in the U.S.  Spencer Trappist Ale is brewed by the St. Joseph’s Abbey in Spencer Massachusetts and it is home to Trappist monks.  Calling themselves the first American Trappist brewery, Spencer does carry the Authentic Trappist label.  This beer is a “golden-hued” Trappist Ale and it will be packaged in both 25.4oz and 11.2oz bottles.  Look for Spencer Trappist Ale to come in at 6.5% ABV.
